Our room is
a warm, friendly, calm and tactile room
with sensory resources for babies to
reach out for, touch and feel.
Our Early
Years Practitioners and Support Workers
provide a wide range of fun sensory
activities for the babies to explore and
to develop their senses such as hand
painting, water play and other tactile
objects for them to shake, touch, look
at and hear.
Our play
room has soft coverings for babies to
sit and lie on and cushions to support
them where there are treasure baskets
and heuristic materials for them to
enjoy such as fabrics, textured objects,
mirrors etc. Heuristic play provides
opportunities for experimenting
spontaneously with a wide range of
everyday items other than toys.
We have a
separate sleep room which is cosy and
quiet providing a relaxed atmosphere to
help your baby sleep comfortably. We
also have a separate changing area,
situated off the Baby room, to give your
baby privacy.
Our Early
Years Practitioners and Support Workers
continue the care and attention that is
given at home, following individual
routines. We value good relationships
with parents, are available to
discuss your baby at every opportunity
and a regular flow of information is
maintained between parents and staff.
The Baby
room opens out on to a shaded patio area
where your baby can enjoy all the
benefits of outdoor fun and fresh air.
